Updates from China

We got an update on Mikenna on Tuesday, January 27th.(The day after her 2nd birthday.) She is now 2 ft 9 in. tall and 25 lbs. We also were told that she has 12 teeth. I will post a picture of her as soon as Paul can help me out. She has lost the baby look and looks like a toddler. Receiving the new pictures really pulls at my heart to hold her and get her to smile. Not one of her pictures does she smile. Hopefully that will change. The six of us celebrated Mikenna's birthday at Szechwan, a Chinese resturant. It was also Chinese New Year. We look forward to celebrating Mikenna's birthday next year with her.

Our Referral

On October 23, 2008 we received a call from our adoption agency that they had a beautiful little girl for our family. Her name is Jin Yi and she was 21 months old. She lives in Nanning, China with her foster family. We were all very excited to say the least( because we were expecting a 3 year wait). We accepted Jin Yi on October 24th, 2008 as the newest member of the Kruit family. The picture is one of the 3 pictures that we received from China. Her birthday is January 26, 2007.
